Carrier support extensions at the front of the tube help to guide the BCG into the buffer tube after firing. And because these extensions also secure the buffer retaining pin in place, this prevents the buffer tube from backing out of place due to recoil. Each of the six position guides have a drainage hole which allows water to drain out in wetter conditions. These holes also allow air to escape more easily during the compression that occurs when the buffer is pushed into the tube. A ramped design at the back end of the tube makes it easier to install stocks onto the tube. The Enhanced Carbine Buffer Tube also features threads that are precisely cut to the correct depth. Having extended threads can cause the stock to get hung up when it's collapsed, but the proper thread depth of the Aero Enhanced Tube keeps this from happening. This kit is made to mil-spec dimensions and is compatible with all standard mil-spec carbine stocks.
